Hello Wallace,
The 'SMSCNumber' property in the advanced settings of the GSM Modem Gateway overrides the SMSC number that is stored on the SIM card. Normally it is best to leave this property empty, the SMSC number on the SIM card is almost always correct. The only reason to use your own SMSC number is when the SIM card does not contain an SMSC number or if the GSM modem is not able to read it correctly from the SIM card.
Please note that the 'SMSCNumber' property is not used on Android phones, the GSM Modem Emulator app has no way to override the SMSC number of the SIM card.
The error 'Unknown error after PDU sent.' can has a lot of reasons. For instance that the signal strength of the network is insufficient, that the destination number is wrong or that the SIM card does not have sufficient credits left to send the message. It does not have to do anything with the SMSC number.
Regards, Henk
