Interesting. This is not an issue that has anything to do with Diafaan SMS Server, it is probably a misconfiguration in the SMS central of your mobile operator or in one of the SMS centrals downstream.

The messages are generated by an SMS server that uses the SMPP protocol, SMPP uses text messages in a specific format to report the status of the messages back to the sender of the message. However, you are using modems to send the messages and wireless modems use another format to indicate status updates, not SMPP receipts. Somewhere in the SMS network, (some of) the SMPP receipts are not handled properly and are converted to the SMS messages you receive.

Since the problem is located in the SMS network, you can ignore these messages. If the messages are a problem for you, it is also possible to filter out these messages (basic- and full edition only), but that will require some programming.

Regards, Henk

Hello Robert,

This is not an SMS message that is sent from a phone, it is a (non) delivery SMPP receipt that originates from the SMS central. It indicates that a previously sent message could not be delivered to the mobile phone. An SMPP receipt is almost identical to a normal message but it has an extra flag to indicate that it is a receipt.

Normally, Diafaan SMS Server treats the receipt as a status update but in this case it is treated as a received SMS message. I would like to see the receive log record of one of the receipts to see if there is something wrong with the message format, you can right-click on the line in the receive log and select 'Export to file' to save the receive log entry to a file. I would also like to see the configuration file (menu options 'File-Export-Configuration) to check the settings of the SMPP Gateway. You can send the log files to 'dms@diafaan.com'.

Regards, Henk

Hi!

24 of our 350 received messages (since 13.11.2015) has some wierd format on the message.

Some examples:
id:0000000191 sub:000 dlvrd:000 submit date:1606151409 done date:1606191413 stat:UNKNOWN err:070 Text: scts:1465992540 dt:1466338380

id:0000000116 sub:000 dlvrd:000 submit date:1609080922 done date:1609080926 stat:UNKNOWN err:000 Text: scts:1473319320 dt:1473319560

id:0000000043 sub:000 dlvrd:000 submit date:1608311033 done date:1608311038 stat:UNKNOWN err:000 Text: scts:1472632380 dt:1472632680

Any idea why this is displayed instead of the actual message that our customers sent?
Occurs on different numbers. Not sure what the actual message looks like or which phone-model they were sent from.

Using Full edition, v3.3.0.0.
