Hi Jose Maria,
Diafaan SMS Server can work with both RS232 and USB modems. USB modems create a virtual serial port that our SMS software can use. I found some information about the Wavecom Fastrack Go (PDF) that explains the setup and testing of the driver and serial port.
When the serial USB modem driver is correctly installed Diafaan SMS Server should be able to find the modem automatically. If the serial port is not detected by the software you might check if:
- The GSM modem driver is installed correctly
- The serial port is not in use by another program, like a fax program or network driver

One note, the new modem is a Wavecom FastTrack Go.

Dear Henk,
we have just buy a new GSM modem. This modem is USB, we are using Light edition 1.5.4 version and the software do not recognize the new modem, how can I do to use the new USB modem? Only RS232 modems are supported?.
