Hello Robert,

To upgrade Diafaan SMS Server, you can download the latest version of the trial software from the download page and install it over the old version. All of the settings will be preserved but there might be differences in the way some of the settings work in the new version.

It is not very likely that an upgrade to the newest version of Diafaan SMS Server will solve stability problems with the Portech MV-370. You can try if setting the 'RebootBeforeInitialization' option to 'True' in the advanced settings of the GSM Modem Gateway helps but enabling the reboot option might make the stability of the Portech MV-370 modem even worse (that is why it is disabled by default for Portech modems).

If enabling the reboot option does not work, the only option to improve stability might be to try another modem.

I currently have an operational Diafann 2.1.5.1 basic edition installation (in virtual, with Win7 underneath) with a Portech MV-370, however every so often we have to reboot the modem and/or the software. I see that Diafaan SMS Server v3.1 is out, and was considering getting the latest in place. Our license is permanent, Support through 2/17/2017, can supply if you need. Is there a suggested upgrade process to follow? I'm not seeing anything in the .pdf manual.
