Assigning specific modem cards to a gateway is all that you can do in Diafaan SMS Server. I am not sure what is happening but it is possible that the Hypermedia SMS Pro gateway assign messages to card number 4 in some circumstances, even when the software instructs it to use other cards only.

There might be a setting in the Hypermedia SMS Pro gateway that has an effect on how the gateway assigns the messages but you probably have to contact Hypermedia support to find out what the problem is and if such a setting exists.

But it is exactly what I did and assigned cards 1-3 to the Web Connector and card number 4 to SQL connector. But still as the traffic gets heavy at times, the system uses all four cards. What am I supposed to do to make sure card number 4 is reserved for SQL only. Thanks.

Hello Mike,

You can assign specific GSM modem cards to each Hypermedia SMS PRO Gateway in the 'SIM card routing' settings in Diafaan SMS Server. If you only assign cards 1-3 to the gateway that is connected to the Web Connector, it won't use card 4.

Please note that the Hypermedia SMS Pro gateway does all the message routing, Diafaan SMS Server can only instruct the gateway to use specific modems but in the end, the Hypermedia SMS Pro decides which modems are used to send the messages.

Regards, Henk

Hi Henk,

We have divided our Hypermedia SMS pro gateway into two, one running cards 1 to 3 for our users and another one with card number 4 for SQL blasts. I have designated the web connector to use the first gateway and SQL connector to use the second one. However, when the traffic gets heavy on the web connector, card number 4 is also being used. Is there anyway to dedicate each connector with each gateway service?

Thanks,
Mike
