Hello Logan,

The SMS throughput of a GSM modem is mainly dependent on the network technology, 4G is faster than 3G and 3G is faster than 2G. The GoIP and Hypermedia gateways use different modem modules for their devices and the SMS speed will depend on the modem chip that is being used and the SMS network that they are being used on.

The 8-port modem pool that we tested was equipped with 2G modem modules so the SMS speed was not high. For the Hypermedia and the GoIP gateways we also used older devices with 2G modem modules in our tests and the speed results won't be representative for gateways with more modern modem chips.

Hi ,

In your review section you review a number of devices, With one device in particular you mention the speed of sending out sms's the one im referring to is the 8 port sms modem which was tested on vodafone network... Do you perhaps have similar stats for the GoIP and or other sms gateways like the hypermedia etc ?
