The most likely reason why Diafaan SMS Server does not show the status updates from an SMPP server is that it expects the message ID of the delivery reports in a different format. The SMPP specifications is open to different interpretations of the message ID format in the delivery reports and when the server uses a different format for the message ID, Diafaan SMS Server may not be able to match the delivery report with the original message.
You can set the 'MessageIDFormat' in the advanced settings of the SMPP Gateway to 'Numeric' or 'Alphanumeric' and see if that solves the issue. If you still do not see the status updates then I would like to see the communication log of the SMPP Gateway. You can send the log to dms@diafaan.com, please make sure to include the serial number of your license in the email.

Scenario:
User send SMS message on wrong telephone number
Diafaan server send SMS to SMS service via SMPP gateway.
SMS service send information that SMS is not delivered.
In SMPP log can find information that SMS has not delivered.
Status SMS message in Diafaan server is send.
How to recognize undelivered messages?
