The last part of the message is not added by Diafaan SMS Server but is part the email message that is sent to Diafaan SMS Server from your application.
To control what parts of the email are converted to an SMS message you can click on the "Edit SMS message template" link on the "Send SMS" page of the Email Connector properties. You can use the message subject, message text and other email fields for the template and also set the maximum length of the SMS message.
the basic- and full edition of Diafaan SMS Server has the ability to filter out unwanted parts of the message using the Scripting Gateway. However, this requires some basic C# or Visual Basic.NET script programming.

Why does the Diafaan SMS gateway add additional characters to SMS's?
Please see below as an example
Can this be changes so it just alerts us via SMS the description of the outage without the additional *'s and The information in this e-mail communFROM S
Example:
Closed: Failed to Connect to Computer Microsoft.SystemCenter.AgentWatchersGroup: SERVERNAME.abc.com.au
