The most likely cause for this issue is a bug in the firmware of the modem or, if it is a USB modem, in the USB driver. If you can find updates for the modem firmware or the USB driver software it is worth a try to install them for your modems.

Hi
had a sms sent into us to 4 sims and each time it came in it caused the modem to stop communicating with the com port. the sims are all on the same network 3uk.
had to turn the modems off and on again before it started working.
the sms message that was sent
