I am not able to replicate this issue, I have tried out the configuration you describe and in my tests the message text 'mm\()*+,START' is handled correctly by both the SMPP Connector and the generic HTTP Gateway.
If you send me the communication log of the HTTP Gateway and the SMPP Connector for this message, plus the configuration file of Diafaan SMS Server (menu options 'File-Export-Configuration') I will have a look to see if I can find something wrong. You can send these three files to email address email@example.com.
message received from smpp: mm\()*+,START
message processed from http gateway: mm()*+,START
I think after urlencoding and urldecoding, \ and + are deleted.
pls advise any workaround.
