I have sent you a plugin for the SMPP Connector by email. Can you try the plugin to check if this makes a difference with the socket address error you get? This plugin will be used in the next version of Diafaan SMS Server so it is worth checking out if it solves the problem.

If this does not solve the error then I would like to see your event log (menu options 'File-Export-Event log') and the configuration file (menu options 'File-Export-Configuration'). Perhaps there is something in the log or the configuration that explains the problem and that can help us find the root cause of the issue.

This error usually means that the SMPP network server port is not closed when the SMPP Connector is re-loaded. It can also indicate that another program is using the port but that is less likely when the problem only occurs when you re-load the SMPP Connector.

This problem will usually be resolved by stopping and starting the Diafaan SMS Server service.

It is a good idea to use the latest version of Diafaan SMS Server and to make sure that you are not still using an old SMPP Connector plugin because some older versions of the SMPP Connector did not always close the server port properly in all circumstances.
