I have sent you a plugin for the SMPP Connector by email. Can you try the plugin to check if this makes a difference with the socket address error you get? This plugin will be used in the next version of Diafaan SMS Server so it is worth checking out if it solves the problem.
If this does not solve the error then I would like to see your event log (menu options 'File-Export-Event log') and the configuration file (menu options 'File-Export-Configuration'). Perhaps there is something in the log or the configuration that explains the problem and that can help us find the root cause of the issue.
We did all the possible, but whenever there is some issue and the SMPP client is not able to sent the deliver PDU etc and we restart the connector we are always facing the same issue after the restart it throws the same error Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted.
We also tried to stop and then start the Diafaan SMS server but still the issue remains the same. We are not using any SMPP connector plugin we are only using the SQL Connector plugin which you had given for the 2 new fields MessageGuid and MessageInfo.
Please help us in getting this issue resolved as in such cases the only option left is to restart the server and in that a lot of things are lost. Please let us know the solution for the same.
Thanks and Have a great day..!!
This error usually means that the SMPP network server port is not closed when the SMPP Connector is re-loaded. It can also indicate that another program is using the port but that is less likely when the problem only occurs when you re-load the SMPP Connector.
This problem will usually be resolved by stopping and starting the Diafaan SMS Server service.
It is a good idea to use the latest version of Diafaan SMS Server and to make sure that you are not still using an old SMPP Connector plugin because some older versions of the SMPP Connector did not always close the server port properly in all circumstances.
Once we did some changes and restarted the SMPP Connector and from then we are getting this below error. Please suggest what to do in such scenario
Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted
