Hello Tom,

In the latest versions of Diafaan SMS Server you can specify the TON and NPI in the destination and source address with the format '%TON%NPI%Number' (without the quotes), for example number 1234 with TON=0 and NPI=1: '%0%1%1234'.

The SMPP Gateway can convert the format for the destination number automatically with the NumberTemplate property in the advanced settings of the SMPP Gateway. There is no setting to convert the format of the source address in the same way.

Regards, Henk

Hi Henk,

Have you updated it on the recent version? I need to use Source Ton=0 and Source NPI=1 with my SMSC provider...

Thanks

Tom.

Hello Willie,

The SMPP Gateway in Diafaan SMS Server uses TON=1 and NPI=1 for all destination numbers that are in International number format (all numbers with a leading '+').

Unfortunately there is no way to specify a source address in such a way that Diafaan SMS Server will use TON=0 and NPI=0 in the current version of Diafaan SMS Server.

Regards, Henk

Hi,

We can't get the right configuration to get Diafaan to send out messages using SMPP (only receiving). We have come across this error before with other software and we fix it by changing the TON/NPI settings. With Diafaan, it doesn't seem like we have all these settings available.

The service provider gave us these settings:
Bind TON = 0 (this we can setup in Diafaan)
Bind NPI = 0 (this we can setup in Diafaan)

These we cannot setup anywhere in Diafaan:
Source TON = 0
Source NPI = 0

Destination TON = 1
Destination NPI = 1

This is were we are stuck because our service provider uses strict rules when it comes to these settings. Can it be done in Diafaan or do we have to use another software?

Thanks
