The latest version of Diafaan SMS Server has some improvements with regards to the message throughput of the SMPP Gateway, but probably not enough to make a big difference in your situation. Setting the 'AsyncModeWindowSize' and 'MaxMessagesPerMinute' has a much bigger effect on the message throughput.

By default, Diafaan SMS Server sends the messages synchronous to the SMPP server. It sends the message packet and waits for the response packet from the SMPP server before sending the next message. If the SMPP server is slow to respond, the message throughput will be low.

If you set the 'AsyncModeWindowSize' property in the advanced settings of the SMPP Gateway to a value of more than '1', The SMPP Gateway will send multiple messages without immediately waiting for the response of the SMPP server. This will increase the message throughput.

You can also set the 'MaxMessagesPerMinute' to a higher value, the default value is '600', so that means 10 messages per second which might be a little low for the modem pool that you use.

Regards, Henk
