Hello Austin,
If you are using the SMPP Gateway, you can use the 'From' address to specify the sender ID. But be aware that the SMPP service can ignore or reject the sender ID to prevent number spoofing and spamming. If that is the case you have to ask the SMPP service provider to allow your specific sender ID(s).
It is not possible to use an alternative sender ID if you are using a GSM Modem Gateway. SMS messages that are sent with a mobile phone or GSM modem with SIM card always have the phone number of the SIM card as the sender ID.

Hello Everyone,
We have Diafaan Server 2.1.3.0 installed and connecting to an SMSC gateway. Our telecom provider has given us a short code (235) but we'd like the short code to be displayed as BEL on the handset. Is there a setting in Diafaan that can do this?
Tia,
Austin
