This is basically the same error. +CMS ERROR 500 means 'Unknown error' when trying to send the message. When the modem just returns 'ERROR', the cause of the error is also not specified by the GSM modem module.

The bottom line is that the modem just reports that the message could not be sent (or at least that the modem cannot confirm that the message is sent) but it does not give a specific reason why the error occurs.

This error message, and your description of the problem, indicates that the GSM modem does not receive a confirmation that the message was received by the GSM network. Since the message is received on the mobile phone, the message is sent to the mobile network but apparently the GSM modem does not know it and generates the CMS ERROR 500.

The reason for this error is difficult to pinpoint but it usually has something to do with a GSM modem module that does not work well together with the GSM network, sometimes because the network strength is not sufficient but it also could be a faulty GSM modem module or a bad antenna connection.

Unfortunately, there is nothing in the settings of Diafaan SMS Server that can have an effect on this error.
