In the current version of Diafaan SMS Server the 'from' address for messages that are sent from the Email Connector is always the email address of the sender of the email. There are options to change the from address in Diafaan SMS Server, for instance with a Scripting Gateway or with the HTTP callback functionality, but these options all require some scripting.
The next version of Diafaan SMS Server has the option to change the 'from' address in the 'send SMS template' property of the Email Connector. Here you can enter a fixed phone number or any text that your SMPP server accepts. The new version of Diafaan SMS Server is now undergoing the last tests and will be released when these tests are finished. If you need the solution now then I can send you the latest Email Connector plugin that you can use with current versions of Diafaan SMS Server.

Hello Henk,
We would like to know if we can setup the sender name for Email connector as we are using the SMPP gateway to send the SMS . The problem is it is taking the receiver email ID as the sender name and that gets blocked by the SMS provider so we would like to setup our own sender name. Please let us know how that is possible so we can do the needful.
