Basically, you have two options. What the best option is depends on your requirements and setup.
If you have remote access to the database of your PHP site you can connect Diafaan SMS Server to this database with the SQL Connector. The MessageLog and MessageIn tables are then automatically updated when you send messages and when received messages are coming in. However, this is only feasible when you have a very reliable database connection between the PHP server and the server where Diafaan SMS Server is installed, preferably in a local area network.
You can also use the HTTP API in the Web Connector to communicate with the PHP site. but this means that you must use PHP to store the messages in the database and to update the status of the records. If the Web Connector API is not sufficient it is of course also possible to use the Scripting Connector to communicate with the PHP server but that requires some programming in C# or Visual Basic.NET.

Hi Henk,
So if im using php and I would want to send messages and at the same time store it, then what would be my best option? How can I sent messages using database and store the received messages on my gateway to my SQL connector?
Cheers

Hi Ben,
This is not possible in Diafaan SMS Server. The Web Connector works independent from the SQL Connector and only messages that are sent with the SQL Connector are stored in the database. At the moment there is no option in Diafaan SMS Server to store messages from all connectors in a database.

Hi, currently we working on an sms project that uses your basic version of diafaan. I have just configured the database and its connector. However, my problem is if I send a message using my web connector, then it does not save a copy on our database. We wanted to save our messages sent using web connector to our database so that we can retrieve the records on our independent system. Is there an alternative way for this?
Cheers
Ben
