Hello Jimmy,
To route messages depending on the source address ('from' field) in Diafaan SMS Server 3.3 or higher you can use the following steps:
- Open the connector properties
- Select 'Gateways'
- Click on one of the gateways
- Check the option 'Only for' and select 'Only for from address'.
- Fill in the criteria for the filter
The filter can contain multiple values, separated by semicolons. You can use wildcards ('*' and '?') in the filter and use a minus ('-') before the filter to set a negative filter. It is also possible to use a regular expression if you want to set a really complex filter rule.

I just Purchase 3.3.0 and I don't see this functionality.
This functionality will be added to the next version of Diafaan SMS Server (version 3.3.0.0 and higher).

I also need this, we would buy three instances of the full edition today, if Diafaan had this functionality, without us needing to setup HTTP callbacks etc.

I agree completely. Especially to be able to route based on the destination address domain name.
Hello Sarfaraz,
I have added the request to include the 'From address' to the filter in the routing options of the Connectors to the wish-list of Diafaan SMS Server. If there are more users that need this functionality we might implement it in one of the future versions of Diafaan SMS Server.
It is possible to implement customized routing procedures in the current version of Diafaan SMS Server with the 'HTTP callback' functionality. This can be implemented with a PHP or ASP.NET script on an external web server but the latest version of Diafaan SMS Server also supports a local PHP installation using FastCGI. To use HTTP callbacks with PHP FastCGI you can take the following steps:
- Install PHP on the PC/server that runs Diafaan SMS Server
- Enable HTTP Callbacks in the general options of Diafaan SMS Server
- Set the HTTP Callback method to 'FastCGI'
- Enter the path to the file 'php-cgi.exe' and to the PHP script
- Enable HTTP callbacks for 'Message out'.
- Write a PHP script that changes the 'Gateway' routing parameter according to your routing rules.
The routing with HTTP callbacks can be as simple or complex as desired but of course it always requires some scripting in PHP or ASP.NET.

Hello Henk,
Hope you are fine, it is a pleasure to see new updates coming in every three months for which we are thankful to you. We have a small request the current gateway setting has an option only for to address/message type so can we have two thing like only for to address and from address as in SMPP gateway this option is very much required.
It should allow both the criteria to address and from address so if the from address is -XYZ so it should go with the backup gateway and so on. Hope I have address my query properly to make you understand what I mean.
Looking for a favorable response.
Thanks
Sarfaraz Kasmani
