Hello Alwyn,

There is no standard way to detect that the free SMS limit is reached, some mobile operators will send an SMS message when there are no free messages left and some might have a USSD command to get the number of free SMS messages that are left on the SIM card. Both methods can be used from a Scripting Connector to determine if a limit was reached. The 'send-server-command' query of theHTTP API has a method to switch gateways on and of and you can use that in a Scripting Connector to change the message routing.

The GSM Modem Gateway has an option to automatically limit the amount of messages that can be sent per hour, day, week or month. This limits the amount of messages that the gateway will send and automatically pauses the gateway after the limit was reached. The option is called 'SendLimit' and you can find it in the advanced options of the GSM Modem Gateway.

Regards, Henk

I have 4 gateways for 2 countries, so its 2 SIM cards for each country, the SIM cards has x number for free SMS per month.
My agents are using the web connector to send SMSes.
Is it possible to use the Scripting Gateway to detect which modem/SIM card has reached the limit for the free SMS per month?
Thanks.
