Hello Markus,

The extraction of the number from the subject line is the same as from the to address, it only accepts numbers without space characters or letters as valid destination numbers. There is no way to change this.

Hello Henk,
my question is very similar, so I thought, it's best to post it here next to this?

Our setup is similar: mails are getting in by POP3 but the mobile phone number is extracted from the subject line instead of the "To address".
If some email with a whitespace gets in, Diafaan is splitting them into two messages.
Is the reason for this the same? Or is there any way/workaround/fix to get Diafaan to accepting numbers like this and then fix the number internally with a regex?

Thanks,
Markus

Hello Florian,

The option 'Extract from To Address' in the 'POP Server' settings of the Email Connector only extracts numbers without any spaces or other non-digit characters from the email. In an email with email address '+49171 xxx xxx xx@sms.service', Diafaan SMS Server will recognize only '+49171' as a potential phone number (the exact regular expression that Diafaan SMS Server uses is '\+{0,1}\d{4,20}').

There is no way to change the regular expression that Diafaan SMS Server uses to detect a phone number.

Regards, Henk

Hello support,

How do you remove blanks from the SMS number? I'm using an email Gateway to send sms and the number is extracted from the "To address". Some users have blanks in their numbers so the "To address" sometimes Looks like "+49171 xxx xxx xx@sms.service". When the email is processed by Diafaan fax Server it tries to send an sms to "+49171". So, is there any possibility to remove the blanks from the number?

I already tried to use the Number Template "regex:[^\d]replace:" but this doesn't have any effect.

Best Regards,
Florian Ring
