Can you send the communication log for the SMPP Connector in Diafaan SMS Server to dms@diafaan.com so that I can see whether the receipt is sent back to the SMPP client?

Regards, Henk

Hello Henk,
After the change in NumberTemplate I see on SMPP Connector /Send log status "Delivered", but still on kannel I have status "Operator submitted".
I tried also these alternative options
hexadecimal with deliver_sm/deliver_sm_usepayload/data_sm
decimal with deliver_sm/deliver_sm_usepayload/data_sm
GUID with deliver_sm/deliver_sm_usepayload/data_sm
still the same status "Delivered" in SMPP connector, but "Operator submitted" in kannel logs.
Thank you
Adrian

If the status of the messages that are sent from the SMPP Connector remains 'Sent' and messages that you send from the 'Send message' page of the GSM Modem Gateway get the 'Delivered' status it indicates that the phone number format is not the same as the number in the status report.

For instance if the phone number of a message that is sent from the SMPP Connector is '40700000000' and the status report comes from number '+40700000000', Diafaan SMS Server will not match the status report to the original message, the message status remains 'Sent' and Diafaan SMS Server does not send a receipt back to the SMPP client. Usually the numbers in the status updates use the International number format (starting with a '+')

You can change the number format of the phone numbers to International number format with the 'NumberTemplate' property in the advanced settings of the SMPP Connector. To change the number format of the number in the log you can set the 'NumberTemplate' property to '40[+40]#########'. This means that a leading '+' is added to all numbers starting with '40' followed by 9 digits.

Hello Henk,
Yes, indeed on "Send log" I see Status Sent.
I tried option "MessageIdFormat" Decimal or GUID, still same status Sent.
When I send an sms from GSM modem Gateway(via Diafaan server interface or from Send Message Tab) I see status Delivered.
I will send you the communication log for the SMPP Connector.
Thank you
Adrian

Hello Adrian,

First you should check the send log in Diafaan SMS Server to see if the status of (some of the) messages is 'Delivered' in the log. If the status for the messages is 'Sent', it indicates that the modem or the wireless network does not return delivery reports.

If at least some of the messages in the send log have the 'Delivered' status, you can try to set the 'MessageIdFormat' property in the advanced settings of the SMPP Connector to 'Decimal' or 'GUID'.

If that does not solve the problem then I would like to see the communication log for the SMPP Connector. You can send the log to 'dms@diafaan.com'.

Regards, Henk

Hello
I have an issue with the following setup
Diafaan server installed on a windows 7 pc with 3-4 modems huawei E173
GSM modems are installed corecttly and i can send sms via those modems.
I have another server with open smpp with kannel interface interconnected with other smpp providers.
I created a smpp connector on Diafaan server, open smpp server is connected via this connector.
I can send sms from open smpp server via diafaan server, but I have status "operator submitted" instead of "Delivered"
On SMPP Connector from Diafaan server I have option set like this MessageInHandling = Deliver_SM
What option should I change to have "delivered" status in kannel server?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you
Adrian
