The SIMCOM SIM900B GSM module that your GSM modem uses routes incoming messages to Diafaan SMS Server twice. One time immediately when they are received and another time when Diafaan SMS Server reads received messages that are stored on the SIM card. Diafaan SMS Server instructs the modem not to use the first message routing but it looks like your modem ignores that command.
The current version (v 2.1.0.0) of Diafaan SMS Server is not able to use an additional modem command to tell the modem not write received messages to the SIM card but the next version will have that possibility. Users of Diafaan SMS Server that run into the same problem and have a valid license that is still in the support and upgrade period can request an updated GSM Modem Gateway plugin.

If you send the communication log for the modem, with a received message, to dms@diafaan.com, I will have a look.
We have a .CSV import program for individual contacts (not groups!) of the Web Connector available for registered users of Diafaan SMS Server. Users with a valid license that is still in the upgrade and support period can request us by email to send them the import program.
The Web Connector and Email Connector are separated and the Email Connector does not have access to the contact list of the Web Connector. So it is not possible to add a name to the from field.

I'm using version 2 and for some reason, I'm receiving every SMS 2 times! This happens only when i receive normal text SMS and not when i receive USSD message. I'm using SIMADO GFXD1111S GSM Modem which i connect using Serial (COM) port.
I reinstalled software and have done such usual troubleshooting but couldn't solve the issue.
Kindly help me resolve the issue.
I have couple of other queries:
1. How to import contacts from a file such as csv (in web connector).
2. Is it possible to add the name of the contact along with the incoming mobile number ("[from]") when forwarding the SMS to email? As it is easy to identify a contact with name than a number!
