When enabled, the HTTP callback feature send an HTTP query to an external web site for each message that is sent, the send result of each message and the status updates (received on the mobile phone). The web application can use this information to check the status of each message and may send it again when it is not handled by a certain gateway within a specific time period.
I cannot tell you exactly how (or if) you can achieve what you want using HTTP callbacks, you will have to try the functionality out and see what it can do. Only if you have very specific questions, I might be able to assists.
For some basic information about the HTTP callback feature see:

Hello Sarfaraz,
The SMPP Connector for Diafaan SMS Server is currently in development and will be included with the next version. We had planned to have a beta version of the plugin available at this time but unfortunately it takes longer than expected (as it always does).
There is no way in Diafaan SMS Server to send the message with gateway B if gateway A does not deliver it in time. It is probably possible to use the new HTTP callback function to implement this type of functionality but this requires a customized PHP or ASP.NET web application on an external web server which might be difficult to implement unless you have a good web developer in your team.

Dear Henk,
Hope you are fine and doing good, Hope you remember me. We have 2 question which are as follows:-
1. Is there any future plan to make Diafaan SMS server also work as a SMPP server so we can provide users with SMPP connectivity.
2. Is there a way where in if we submit the message to gateway A and if gateway A doesn't deliver it in 60 secs can we submit the same from gateway B and once its delivered from gateway B we update the MessageLog with the status as delivered. Is this possible if yes then how?
Please let us know on the same.
Have a great day!!
Regards,
Sarfaraz Kasmani
