The SMPP protocol can be set in the SMPP server settings of the SMPP Gateway, not the SMPP Connector. So this is only a solution when the optional parameters from the upstream SMPP server causes the problem .

In the SMPP Connector, you can disable optional parameters with the 'IncludeTLVParameters' parameter in the advanced settings of the SMPP Connector. When you set this parameter to 'False', Diafaan SMS Server does not use optional parameters in the messages and delivery reports that are send to the SMPP client.

Diafaan SMS Server does not offer a way to remove the TLVs from an SMPP delivery report.

You can try to set the SMPP protocol to 3.3 in the SMPP server settings of the SMPP Gateway. SMPP 3.3 does not support optional parameters so the SMPP server should return the delivery reports without the 0x0423 network_error_code TLV. However, if the SMPP server still sends the optional parameters, there is no way in Diafaan SMS Server to block them.
