Hi Henk,

Kwhy
Hello Kwhy,
SMS messages that are sent from a GSM modem or mobile phone always have the phone number of the SIM card as the sender ID. There is no way to change that.
If you want to send SMS messages with a name as the sender ID you'll have to use an internet based SMS service. Diafaan SMS Server supports all services that use the SMPP standard and the HTTP API interfaces of BulkSMS, ClickSend, Clickatell, Esendex, MessageBird, Nexmo and Twilio. Not all SMS services support alternative sender IDs but most do support it, albeit often with limitations to prevent number spoofing.
Regards, Henk
