Hello Marcel,

The maximum number of characters of an alphanumeric sender address in the SMS system is limited to 11. However, due to technical reasons some phones will only display the first 10 characters of an alphanumeric sender address.

So it is not a limitation of the software or your provider but it is a limitation of SMS itself.

Hi Henk, As you know I am using Diafaan with great pleasure. I have to send a bulk-sms shortly with a name in the FromAddress that has more than 11 characters. I did a test in my lab and send me an sms with a name more than 11 characters. Only the first 10 where displayed on my cell phone. Is this a limitation of the sms software or from the provider?
