In the gateway advanced settings I checked the option for rebooting upon time-outs, after which the SMS server functions smoothly.

Hi Anthony,
The limitation of approx. 12 SMS messages per minute is a limitation of the GSM modems. Some GSM modems are faster than others and 3G modems are usually faster than GSM modems. The maximum (send) speed that I have seen for a 3G modem is approx. 45 messages per minute for the Huawei E173 modem.
The GSM standard defines an option to send and receive SMS messages over a GPRS connection that is supposed to be a lot faster but I have never seen a GSM network that supports this option.

Hi,
May I know why there is a limitation of 12 SMS messages per minute per modem?
Can this be increased?
Our application requires a single Mobile number to receive more messages in a given minute?
I have been tested Diafaan SMS Server and it works GREAT! But need to know if there is any way to increase the number of messages received and sent in a given minute.
