We have not tested any SMS services that are located in India. But if you google 'SMPP India' you get a number of possible options.

Hello Natasha,

If you are looking for an easy to implement HTTP API for your website, the fastest and probably best solution is to sign up to an online SMS service provider and use their API to send and receive the messages from your website. There are a lot of SMS service providers you can use, like ClickSend, MessageBird, Twilio or Nexmo (and many, many more). Installing and using Diafaan SMS Server for use with a website is usually more complicated then using an HTTP API from an online SMS service provider. Especially if you do not host your website in-house.

If you want to use a GSM modem with SIM card to send and receive the messages (or have another reason to prefer a software solution) you can use Diafaan SMS Server, installed on a Windows server in your local network, and use the HTTP API that is built-in into Diafaan SMS Server.

Regards, Henk

Hello Abdullah,

Diafaan SMS Server has an HTTP API that you can use from your Java application to send and receive SMS messages. You can simply call a URI to send a message, for example:
http://localhost:9710/http/send-message?username=admin&password=&to=%2B44xxxxxxxx&message-type=sms.automatic&message=Message+Text

Another way to integrate a Java application with Diafaan SMS Server is to use a common SQL database table to send and receive messages.

Regards, Henk
