Hello Henk,
Thanks a lot after making the password smaller it worked fine.
Thanks again
Sarfaraz
It turns out that the password to log in to the SMPP server is too long. The official SMPP specification has a maximum length of 16 characters for the username and 9 characters for the password. Diafaan SMS Server supports longer passwords but I suspect that your SMPP server gets confused by passwords that are longer than 9 characters and that it does not send an error response back to Diafaan SMS Server when this error occurs.
Regards, Henk
Is it OK if I try to log in to the SMPP server with your username and password and send a few messages? So far I only tried to connect to the server with an invalid username and password but your results suggest that the problem only occurs when a valid username and password is used.

Hello Henk,
On the SMPP server we only have firewall for the incoming traffic nothing for the outgoing all the ports are open for the outgoing traffic. We are able to connect to all the our SMPP provider which have 4 digit port no the issue is only with the 5 digit port no.
Secondly we tried to use a wrong password and we received the below log.
[ *** Log items removed to protect user data *** ]
Not able to understand this, the provider say nothing wrong from their end. We don't have any firewall settings for the outgoing connection so where you thing we are missing out. If you could help.
Thanks
Sarfaraz
Hello Sarfaraz,
I have tried the SMPP service in your log with the latest version of Diafaan SMS Server on Windows 10 and have no trouble connecting to the SMPP server and to get a valid response back. I think this is an issue that is specific to your server or internet connection, perhaps related to a firewall setting or an IP filter on the SMPP server.
This could be a difficult problem to pinpoint because you do not get any response back from the SMPP server after the connection is made and it is not clear if the SMPP server receives the logon attempt from Diafaan SMS Server or not.

Hello Henk,
Many times we have notice that if the port no is like 20002 or 29019 the logs show as below but the SMPP gateway is not available to send and receive messages.
[ *** Log items removed to protect user data *** ]
Can you please check on it and let us know if there is so issue from our end or Diafaan end or we are missing some settings.
Thanks
Sarfaraz
