Hello Manuel,
I presume that you use GSM modems to receive the SMS messages and send the replies back, is that correct?
You can specify the name of the gateway(s) that are used to send a specific message with the 'Gateway' field in the database table. A received SMS message that is stored in the 'MessageIn' table of your SQL database also has a 'Gateway' field that contains the name of the (GSM Modem) gateway that received the message. If you copy this value to the 'Gateway' field of the 'MessageOut' database table the message will be sent with the same GSM modem as the received message and the user will see the same phone number.

Hi have the same issue... why it is not possible to send answer from the original phone number? I have 5 numbers and me and my clients are confused all the time because the answers came from different number.
I am using a sql connector.
Any workaround in case this is not supported by the tool? (I think should be supported) that is why in the database and sql connector there is a field that says "FROM" right?
Please advice.
Hello Mike,
No, that is not possible, at least not if you are sending the reply from the web browser application of the Web Connector. Each message you send from the web application, reply or not, is handled as a separate new message and could be routed to all the gateways that are in the routing table of the connector.

Is it possible to reply from the same gateway that was used to send the sms? I am currrently using multiple gateway numbers to send sms messages. The problem is that they are replying to the text from another phone number in the gateway list. Is there anyway to match the numbers so it stays in the same conversation? using the web Connector
Thanks in advance.
