Most multi-port USB modem pools are identified as 8 or 16 separate GSM modems in Diafaan SMS Server. They can be rebooted individually by Diafaan SMS Server when a problem is detected with one of the GSM modem modules.

Some GSM gateways, like the HyperMedia HG-7000, are treated like one GSM gateway by Diafaan SMS Server. These type of advanced GSM gateways have their own message queue and the gateway decides which GSM module sends the next message.

I'm analyzing tool, and I wonder how it is done booting the 8-port USB modem pool? The 16 ports are identified separately? In sending the Diafaan server stores the database was sent to the modem as if individual modems?
