SMS does not support multi-user messaging or threaded messaging, that means that it is not possible to detect with 100% certainty that a received message is a response to a previously sent message. The only way to link a received message to a sent message is simply to check the sender address and presume that the message is a response when the phone numbers match. This is how the Email Connector and the Web Connector are able to link a response message to a specific user. However, this is not 100% reliable because there might have been multiple users that have sent a message to the same number.

The SQL Connector does not try to connect a received message to a specific user. If you need to do this, you have to use a custom program or script. In most database programs, it should be possible to write a database trigger that looks up the latest user ID using the GSM number of the received message.
