To send messages from an application like 'Servers Alive', you have to add a connector to Diafaan SMS Server that can receive the messages in a format that 'Servers Alive' supports. The best options are probably to add an SMTP Connector with the SMTP server option or to add an SMPP Connector.
In 'Servers Alive' you then have to add an option to send the alerts by email directly to the SMTP server of Diafaan SMS Server (if you use the SMTP Connector) or you must add an option to send the alerts to the SMPP server of Diafaan SMS Server (by default on 'localhost' port 2775).
If you use the SMTP server option, you have to make sure that 'Servers Alive' sends the email messages directly to Diafaan SMS Server (on 'localhost' port 25) and not to an email relay server on the Internet. Otherwise they will never reach Diafaan SMS Server.

hi, i'm trying diafaan sms server and interested by smpp gateway for use with monitoring app called "servers alive".
Test sms is ok in diafann console,with smpp connetor, but i can't use it from other app (even if app is on the same server to bypass firewall problems...).
is therwe a test client to find if the problem is "diafann side" or "servers alive side" ?
