If you send the configuration file of your installation of Diafaan SMS Server to email@example.com, I will have a look to see if any of the settings is incorrect.
In most cases Diafaan SMS Server automatically handles long messages but the Email Connector is an exception. The Email Connector limits the message length to 160 characters by default, to prevent that an excessive number of messages is sent because of a long email. This character limit can be changed in the 'message template' settings of the Email Connector.
The server does not behave as expected. Large messages are truncated but not split into smaller ones despites the correct server configuration. Are there solutions for that?
Diafaan SMS Server automatically splits large messages in multiple parts before they are sent. You can just insert the long message in the database and Diafaan SMS Server will do the rest.
The GSM Modem Gateway and the SMPP Gateway has a default value of 10 for the maximum number of message parts that will be sent for one long message but you can increase or decrease this value if required.
How do we send a multipart message programmatically (via SQL Server database)?
