Hello Narenda,

Most SMS service providers that offer support for the SMPP protocol have an option to purchase a shortcode or long number for incoming SMS messages. There are a number of Java libraries available to handle ougoing and incoming SMPP traffic, just google on 'Java SMPP library' to get some suggestions.

The basic- and full editions of Diafaan SMS Server can also be used as a gateway between SMPP clients and one or more GSM modems. The GSM modem(s) then receive the messages and Diafaan SMS Server forwards them to the SMPP client(s).

Regards, Henk
