Sending messages with a GSM modem requires a SIM card from a mobile operator. Most mobile operators have fair-use policies in place for the number of SMS messages that can be sent with a SIM card, even when it has an unlimited SMS plan. It will probably be difficult to find a mobile operator with SIM cards that allow commercial bulk SMS.

Well, I want to send a lot of messages myself but I am not thinking about using any SMS provider because I am willing to sell SMS (Bulk SMS) so if I suscribe with any SMS service provider then I will gain nothing since their prices are expensive.
I am new to this and I want to start my own bulk SMS service to provide cheap SMS but I don't want to be a reseller , in that case if I order the GSM modeme will be enough or I need something else ?

Hello Med,

If you want to use Diafaan SMS Server with an SMPP Gateway, you need a subscription with an SMS service provider that supports SMPP. There are several SMS service providers that support SMPP but most of them don't advertise this actively and only offer it to large accounts, customers that send a lot of messages.

A simpler option if you want to use Diafaan SMS Server using the cloud is to use the HTTP API SMS services of BulkSMS, ClickSend, Clickatell, Esendex, MessageBird, Vonage/Nexmo or Twilio. This is easier to set up and also available to customers who send a lower amount of messages. The HTTP Gateway that can use these HTTP API services is available in the basic- and full editions of Diafaan SMS Server.

Hello, I would like to order Diafaan product but I don't want to use GSM modem gateway because I don't want any hardware (I want everything to be in cloud server if that make sense) , so I want to use the SMPP gateway but I am confused how to have an SMPP gateway.
