By default, Diafaan SMS Server stores the last 10.000 messages and removes the oldest messages from the log database when the send log contains more than 10.000 messages. You can change this in the general options of Diafaan SMS Server (select 'Actions-Options-Logging') but for performance reasons it is best to keep the number of messages in the send log below 10.000.

If you send less than 10.000 messages per day you can select the option 'Remove log items and events after 1 day' and check the 'Save removed items to XML file' option. This option keeps the number of messages in the send log database limited and generates multiple XML files with older messages that will not be removed by Diafaan SMS Server.

Diafaan SMS Server can also store the logs in an external SQL database if you have set up an SQL Connector. To enable this option select 'Actions-Options-Advanced' and check the 'Log all messages to SQL Connector ...'.
