You can update the log database from your website or use the Scripting Connector to process the receipt and update the log database. For both options, it means that you have to do some programming to update the send log database. When you set the 'ReceiptHandling' option to 'HandleAsReceivedMessage' or 'HandleAsReceivedMessageWithTLV' the MessageLog table is not updated automatically anymore by Diafaan SMS Server when a receipt is received.

Yes, that is possible. In the advanced properties of the SMPP Gateway settings is an option 'ReceiptHandling'. If you set this option to 'HandleAsReceivedMessage' or 'HandleAsReceivedMessageWithTLV' the status update is handled as a normal received SMS message and you can forward this message to a website with the Web Connector.

This setting has the effect that the status of the messages is not updated anymore in the logs of Diafaan SMS Server or in your database if you are using the SQL Connector.
