QuoteUnfortunately, GSM modem error 500 can mean anything. It just indicates that the GSM modem could not send the message. Some possible reasons why the modem cannot send the messages are:
- The (prepaid) SIM card does not have enough credits left
- The modem cannot connect to the mobile network
- The SMSC number (+554199138200) is wrong
- The mobile operator accepts only national numbers (e.g. 04884024454)
Does the modem receive SMS messages OK? And can you send a message when you put the SIM card in a normal mobile phone?
