CMS error 500 is a generic error that is returned by the GSM modem when it is not able to send the SMS message to the mobile network. In this case the most likely cause for the error is that the destination number of the message is not a valid phone number.

Error code 500 means 'Unknown error' and the exact cause of the error is sometimes difficult to determine. But usually the error is caused by one of the following reasons:
- No or insufficient mobile network coverage
- Unsupported destination number
- Not enough credits available on the SIM card

Hi,
I have just started to receive the following error messages :

06/03/2019 11:18:37 AM (error) GSM Modem Gateway:
The GSM Modem returned +CMS ERROR: 500 (Unknown error) after the 07911614786007F03184049150550000AA504C66642884C922DA08F3398C04994D10F37D0731D3663A68F866B3D3EEB93DCD6697412D10B4DE8683A6F4303DFD768392EEF1BB5D9683603250DA0D62BEC7613628C80ECBDB command.

Can anyone help with what it means?
