Hello Roberto,

It can be both. If the data coding parameter of the message is set to binary or to an unexpected value then Diafaan SMS Server does not try to decode the message and it is shown as a raw hexadecimal string.

It is possible that the SMPP Server uses the wrong data coding parameter for the message and it is also possible that Diafaan SMS Server does not use the data coding parameter correctly. If you send the configuration file of Diafaan SMS Server (menu options 'File-Export-Configuration) and the receive log item of one of these messages (right-click on the message in the receive log and select 'Export to file') to email address 'dms@diafaan.com' I can have a look to see what the issue is.

Hello Henk!

I have a problem with messages received in an SMPP Gateway.

Most of the received messages are in an encoding of numbers and letters, for example: "596120657374612070616761646F20".
What is this about?, Does this error depend on the configuration from Diafaan, or does it depend on the SMPP server configuration?.
