Nevermind, I just tried it and you seem to be able to enter any e-mail domain.

Hello Henk!
Thanks for your response. If I was to set the SMTP server to be on the localhost, what email can I e-mail to to send SMS messages? Can I just e-mail "p63926XXXXXXX@anydomain.com"?
Hello Robert,
There are a few possible reasons why the POP3 email to SMS does not work in your set up:
1. The email is retrieved from the POP box by another email program
2. Diafaan SMS Server encounters an error when trying to read the GMail POP box
2. Diafaan SMS Server cannot find a valid mobile number in the subject line
First, you should make sure that the GMail POP box does not contain any emails before you start testing. If there are too many emails in the POP box, retrieving the email can take so long that it seems that nothing is happening.
Second, you can check the event log of the Email Connector to see if there are any errors pointing to a problem retrieving the email or extracting the mobile number from the email. To see the event log, click on the Email Connector and select the 'Events' tab page.
Third, you can enable communication logging for the Email Connector to check if the POP client connects to the GMail POP box and retrieves any mail.
-------------------
The SMTP set up you describe would't work, even if Outlook allowed it. What would happen is that Outlook sends the message to an SMTP relay server on the Internet and this server would not know what to do with it because it does not know where domain 'NS-WW2493' is located.
If you want to send messages from Outlook to Diafaan SMS Server on the same computer you have to add a new email account to Outlook and set the outgoing SMTP server to 'localhost' or '127.0.0.1'. You can then select this account when you send an email and Outlook will send the message directly to the SMTP server in Diafaan SMS Server and not to the Internet.

Sorry, just to append to my second inquiry: I'm trying to set it up in a way where I can email p63926XXXXXXX@ns-ww2493 or something of that sort, and have it SMS the number.

Hello!
I've set up an email connector to connect to gmail via POP3 for Send SMS. But when I send an email from my main email address to the SMS email address with the subject line "+63926XXXXXXX" and the body "test test" it doesn't send the SMS to the number. I've set up the "Forward To" to "Extract from: Subject" but when it gets this email, it doesn't send the SMS. Of course, the Xs are a valid phone number. There is nothing in the Send Queue or the Send Log. Is there another setup I'm missing for this?
Also, the guide for the SMTP server is very vague. I tried to set it up and use my computer name as the domain (NS-WW2493), but Outlook doesn't seem to allow this. Is there a more detailed, perhaps step-by-step guide, on how to set that up?
