An alternative for the Dinstar DWG2000-1g is the PORTech MV-370 VoIP Gateway. This is a 1-port TCP/IP GSM modem that works very well with Diafaan SMS Server and supports all normal SMS features.

We have never tested this GSM modem but when I look at the documentation for the modem then I doubt if the DWG2000-1G GSM modem is compatible with Diafaan SMS Server. Diafaan SMS Server only supports modems that use the GSM 07.05/07.07 AT command set over a serial port or over a TCP/IP connection.
I found a reference that the DWG2000-1G API supports AT commands on an external website but I could not find any confirmation in the documentation for the device.
