Hi Micky,

No, this is not possible. The software that is supplied with the GSM modem supports simultaneous use of an Internet connection and SMS because it has full control of the modem functions. If you use Diafaan SMS Server on one port and the modem software on another, the two programs will interfere with each others functionality. Either the Internet connection will break or the SMS functionality is disturbed.

Regards, Henk

Hi, I am connected using diafaan with the Huawei E173. Commendations on your software, and yes this modem does work very well.
This modem also provided my internet connection, using diafaan the internet connection functionality of the modem is disabled until the modem is completely reset.
I did read the review of this modem where it was mentioned that it provides two ports, but that they are unavailable for simultaneous use.
By that do you mean that it can not be used for a tcp/ip connection while sending SMS? The included software provided by the telco manages to do SMS and TCP/IP simultaneously (but lacks the extra functionality that diafaan has).
Is there a workaround to fully exploit this modems capabilities with diafaan?
