Hello Guiseppe,

According to this question on Stack Overflow this is a known bug in version 5.2 of the MySQL ODBC driver.

One solution is to downgrade to driver version 5.1. But if you want to use the new driver you can also add 'NO_SSPS=1' to the connection string in the SQL Connector of Diafaan SMS Server. This setting disables the server side prepared statement function that causes the problem.

Regards, Henk

Hi,
we installed a Diafaan server on a Win7 machine, MySQL DB and MySQL ODBC driver.
Daily, the Diafaan server reports a MySQL error telling

11/12/2014 13:00:35 ERROR [HY000] [MySQL][ODBC 5.2(w) Driver][mysqld-5.5.24]Can't create more than max_prepared_stmt_count statements (current value: 16382)

Monitoring MySQL database, we have seen that one new prepared statement was created every 5 secs (!!!). Stopping Diafaan Server we have seen that prepared statement count returned to zero. We have checked that on other box this problem isn't present. We have downgraded to MySQL ODBC driver ver 5.1 fixing the issue.
Is there any particular tips to run with ver MySQL ODBC v5.2?
