If you have not done so already, please install the latest version of Diafaan SMS Server and remove the SMPP plugin if you are still using it. The new functionality in the SMPP Gateway will not be used if you still have the SMPP plugin installed. Diafaan SMS Server 2.1.3 contains two important bug fixes for SMPP which might also affect the timing of sent messages and the message response.
I have checked the timing on a test SMPP server on a virtual machine that is time synchronized with the computer where Diafaan SMS Server runs but I don't see a time difference between the log of Diafaan SMS Server and the log of the SMPP server. The send time of the message in the Diafaan SMS Server logs is the time when the submit_resp is received by Diafaan SMS Server. There might be a short delay in processing the submit_resp packets when Diafaan SMS Server is busy but this should not be more than 1-2 seconds.
I am curious what you see in the communication log for the SMPP Gateway (see http://www.diafaan.com/how-to/log-modem-problems/ on how to create a communication log). Is the submit_resp time the same as the send time in Diafaan SMS Server or as the time in the logs of the SMPP server?
We are having some issues in the message submission for e.g. Message is been inserted in our MessageOut Table from there Diafaan Server Read the message and Submit to the SMSC the submission time is taking some time. At least a time difference of 7 to 10 sec is taking place. We have tried to SYNC the time with the SMPP server still this issue is happening. The sent time shown in Daifaan SMS server and the log of the SMPP has a difference of 10 to 15 sec sometime this is between 20 sec. More issue is noticed when there is a single message been pushed at one time.
Please check and inform the solution.
Have a great day ahead!!!
