This error can have a number of causes. It is possible that the database has found a data error in the log database and that it is trying to repair it. Another possibility is that you have the log window open in the console program when Diafaan SMS Server is busy sending messages. It is usually better to keep the log pages of the console program closed when Diafaan SMS Server is sending or receiving a lot of messages.

The best way to prevent this error is to keep the send log smaller. The more records in the log database, the more work Diafaan SMS Server has to do to add and look up the log records. The maximum number of log records depends mainly on the speed of the hard disk, for a typical hard disk the maximum number of records should probably be between 50000-70000 per log table. When the database is located on a fast hard disk or an SSD disk the maximum number of records can be higher. The maximum number of database records can be set in the general log settings of Diafaan SMS Server (Actions-Options-Logging).

One problem that might show up when you set the limit of items per log too low is that Diafaan SMS Server cannot match status updates with the original messages anymore when the message is already removed from the send log. This does not only affect the internal send log in Diafaan SMS Server but also the status updates of the records in the external database when you use the SQL Connector.
