Diafaan SMS Server uses the hexadecimal/numeric message ID format combination that is recommended in the SMPP 3.4 specifications. Unfortunately the message ID format is implemented differently in different SMPP applications so that the SMPP client is not always able to match the receipt with the original message.
You can change the message ID format in the SMPP Connector in Diafaan SMS Server with the 'MessageIdFormat' property in the advanced settings. If you set it to 'Guid' it will probably work for your client.

I have a case here where a customer is not able to associate the message with the receipt. Looking at the communications log:

The customer uses the message_id F0AA for the message, but in the DLR communication the only id is the receipt id - 61610.
Diafaan uses an internal MessageId, in this case 2138146217, which is not in the communication.
How can they do this association?
