The most likely cause of a slow start-up time of the console program is that the log database is getting too large. For bulk SMS applications it is best to limit the size of the logging database in Diafaan SMS Server.

To limit the size of the log database automatically, you can select Actions-Options-Logging and set the Remove log items and events after ... option to the desired timespan. If you are not very interested in the logs you can set it to one day. The database is purged once a day, so it might take some time to take effect.

Please let me know if you still encounter long start up times after the log database has been minimized.
