Hello Rhog,
The error message indicates that the ODBC driver is not able to make contact with the MySQL server. It is possible that MySQL is not running or that it is not listening to the port that you set in the connection string (standard 3306). It is also possible that a local firewall or other security software blocks the connection between the ODBC driver and the MySQL server.
You can try to restart the MySQL service or the whole server, other than that I can't really offer much help with this issue.

Hi, thank you for your answer on my last question. It works, i forgot to place localhost at the front, just as you said. Now, there's another problem, it says that Diafaan can't connect to mysql server on 'localhost', "ERROR [HY000] [MySQL][ODBC 5.1 Driver]Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)". Although yesterday it worked just fine. I got no idea what's going on. Thanks for the help in advance.
